Gabe,
It's simple. Go the Events section. Then click on the link Add an Event (upper right of the page). Or, you can add content using your Quick Add link to the top right of your page. You have access to all of the same tools as I do as the administrator.. The most important part of this whole thing though is 'adding friends'. When you have friends on this network all you have to do is then post your events and invite them using the system.
