- About Me:
- Todd Schefflin is an award winning saxophonist, composer, horn-arranger, and multi-instrumentalist. As a child, Todd was surrounded by his mothers singing, fathers classical guitar playing, and vintage blues 45s playing through the house.
A native of Philadelphia, Todd started playing professionally at the age of 15, picking up gigs around the city. After high school, he moved to the New York City area to attend the prestigious jazz program at William Paterson University majoring in Music and Music Business. It was during this time that he co-founded the acclaimed Jazz/Soul group, The JT Project, which has released 3 full-length albums and tours both nationally and overseas.
Todd performs and tours alongside wonderful artists such as the Luther Vandross inspired soul singer and Atlantic Recording artist Jaheim, in which Todd also wrote and arranged the horn parts for his live show, R&B/Soul crooner and Sony Red recording artist Joe, iconic songwriting/artist duo Ashford and Simpson, R&B Divas MeliSa Morgan, Melba Moore, Alyson Williams, Miki Howard and Jazz greats the late Mulgrew Miller and Freddy Cole among many others.
