NAME: Rochelle Rabouin

Rochelle has been singing professionally since the age of 12. Her natural born “golden voice” gift, has given her the opportunity to sing everything from JAZZ to folk songs to opera to Country music in the USA, Canada, Mexico,Europe and Ghana, West Africa.
As a touring vocalist ,Rochelle has been privileged to work with such artists as Nancy Wilson, Ray Charles, Milt Hinton, as well as; Earth, Wind and Fire, BB King, Clark Terry, The Gatlin Brothers, Charley Pride….to name a few….
Rochelle was introduced to the North Texas market as a Jazz vocalist by HASGOW GALLERIES in 1988...from then to the present time she has established her self as a top notch performer in a variety of genres.
She has writen and published two childrens books that are e-vailable to the public through XLIBRIS Publishing, AMAZAON and BARNES and NOBLE. The first book "The Adventures of JINGLE JYNGEL - The Happy Helpful Bell" is targeted at 6 to 9 year olds, the second book entitled "SHAPES FRIENDS" is aimed at children from 10 months to 5 years old. Part of the sales of both books will go toward a scholarship in Library Science available from the American Libray Association in 2012. Her third book "BIRD TALK" is copyright pending and is an arts in education program.
In 1989 She tried her hand at broadcasting and became a well known "show host" on the widely watched regional issues oriented talk program "In Your Interest". For 6 years she researched,wrote, produced (and many times edited) and hosted the program for TV 49 in Dallas, TX
ARTS and EDUCATION
In 2001 she accepted a contract with the non-profit Arts in Education organization Young Audiences of North Texas, as a lead artist.
Rochelle researched, wrote and later edited the SONGS AND LEGENDS of South Africa program for Young Audiences. Her band- BOITUMELO was named as one of the top Children’s Entertainment groups in the Dallas - Fort Worth area by "D” Magazine in 2006. BOITUMELO has been a very popular attraction at the State Fair of Texas and the Texas Book Festivals since 2005.
Her bands BOITUMELO and DEJA VU JAZZ PROJECT are booked extensively for Weddings, Private Parties, Special Events and Arts in Education events. Formats for the bands are duet, trio, quartet up to a 12 piece band. The variety of music (RETRO) ranges from American Jazz Folk, and Rock, to African High Life music.
Rochelle appeared in many college and community theater productions including...."How to Succeed in Business without really Trying...., Little Shop of Horrors....., Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.....Guys and Dolls.....The Whiz......to name a few and worked as an extra in many Films.
Rochelle has lived in the North Texas area since 1987 . She is well known to the regional arena as one of the top Children's Entertainers and one of the best vocalists in the area…
