About Me:
Adina Even-Zohar, who performs jazz, blues and adult contemporary has begun recording her next album. Even-Zohar has once again teamed up with veteran record producer, Luis Lahav to create an album of original songs in English with lyrics written by herself. Original music has been composed by, among others, award winning composer Ayala Asherov, as well as pianist, composer and Even-Zohar's musical director and collaborator over the past 8 years, Giora Linenberg, who is also doing the arrangements on this album.

EVEN-ZOHAR's debut album , "For the First Time (in a long time), released in late 2011,
combined 13 songs, including jazz standards, contemporary and original songs to present the listener with a smooth, romantic sound, showcasing Adina's deep, rich voice and sketching her life and personality. Adina performs the songs with emotion and softness evoking memories of days gone by and the styles of vocal inspirations Frank Sinatra, Chet Baker, Dinah Washington, Sarah Vaughn and Shirley Horne. Adina weaves stories and emotions which are both personal and universal. Like the definition of the name Adina, meaning tender, the songs blend together smoothly to create a experience of pure tenderness.
"For the First Time (in a long time)" whose title track is an original song with lyrics written by Even-Zohar was produced by Luis Lahav and masterfully arranged by Adi Rennert. The album was recorded in Paris, France with additional recordings in Israel. The album hosts a stellar ensemble of international musicians: Adi Rennert on piano, French drummer André Ceccarelli, French double bass player Diego Imbert, New York based Israeli saxophonist Eli Degibri and also features Israeli guitarist Amos Hoffman and Brazilian-born Israeli percussionist Joca Perpignan.
Israeli born Even-Zohar grew up in New York City. After completing her BA degree from a leading US university in 1977, she took a year break to live and work in Israel before going on to graduate studies in the U.S. That one year hiatus has yet to end. Since then Adina has experienced several professions, notably social work, head hunting and philanthropy, and many twists and turns on her way to becoming a professional vocalist. All this has only added to the depth and passion she emits when performing.
While singing and performing have always been her first love, it was not until her mid- 40's that Adina allowed herself to pursue it professionally. But once she allowed herself to follow her passion, she threw herself into it body and soul. The process began with voice lessons, soon followed by work with pianist-composer Giora Linenberg, who is her musical director and accompanist (who also tours with and composes for French singer Lara Fabian) and with whom she has collaborated on original songs which have been published in France.

Adina has been performing successfully for several years at various venues with leading Israeli musicians including at leading jazz clubs, music festivals, and closed events. In May 2012
Even-Zohar performed at Jazz NL – Gateway to Global Jazz Conference and the Amersfoort Jazz Festival.
