Jazz Around Town: BuzzBrews Kitchen - Deep Ellum (Sundays)
With Jazz Around Town, UJD will be checking out various places in DFW doing jazz, among other things. They'll be rated on the Jazz Scale:

BuzzBrews Kitchen - Deep Ellum - Rating (5) JazzMaster Set
In our quest to show that Dallas' jazz scene is vibrant and expanding, we weren't surprised to discover jazz in Deep Ellum. But to find that a Big Band jazz set exists every Sunday night at BuzzBrews Kitchen's Deep Ellum location was amazing!
It's always a challenge to assemble, let alone present big bands in venues because of the size of the bands and the logistics involved with all participants and the production. But, BuzzBrews (Deep Ellum) is truly doing it big!
It's free admission and the menu is something to seriously explore along with their coffee offering. The set runs from 6:30 pm to 9:30pm and was well worth it on the night that we had our 'jazz stop'. This big band production is made possible as a collaboration between BuzzBrews management and the Rebel Alliance Jazz Ensemble which is one of the tightest big bands in the area. It has a huge portfolio of songs from classics to originals about to be released as part of a recording compilation.
BuzzBrews Kitchen-Deep Ellum is one of the rare jazz presenters who has stepped up into the big band space. Big bands are serious endeavors. And, when they are tight (as is the case with Rebel Alliance Jazz Ensemble), they elevate the atmosphere to the status of #5 Jazz Master Set.
We'll be going back for more this on Sunday nights!
