We're saddened that on this first day of Black History Month 2012, we hear the news of the death of Don Cornelius today. This man has affected so many lives in such a positive way. Of all races. It's hard to believe that he himself may have been in dispair to the degree of giving up on his life this morning.
We want to take a moment to reflect on this man and encourage everyone here on this network. We truly believe that you can survive anything in life with prayer and little encouragement from loved ones. Encourage the people in your life. It helps in ways you can't imagine in the quiet of their thoughts.
As we pause to consider the work of Don Cornelius and how he lifted a people, music and dance at a time our nation was pushing forward together. Don helped show the love and style of a generation. His work continues to live and will continue to show how one generation loved music and togetherness. This we'll have as a memory until the end of time.
We love Don.
