Event Description

From a young school girl singing in the The Texas Girls' Choir to twenty plus years on the New York City scene, Gale Cruz has had the good fortune to lead her own jazz group as well as corporate/society bands performing for numerous clients such as SMITH BARNEY, MAYOR MICHAEL BLOOMBERG, BOY'S CLUB of AMERICA, SONY CORPORATIONS to name just a few. A voice performance major at the University of North Texas, Gale honed her craft in New York City performing jazz concerts at the famous Lush Life, The Bitter End, and The Lonestar Cafe and many other venues. She has sang backup for Phoebe Snow and Sheena Easton. She can be heard on numerous jazz recordings as well as many jingles and voice overs. Gale also worked on some off Broadway workshops. While in NY Gale married renowned composer and saxophonist Mario Cruz, also a Texas native, and the two work together often.

Gale has recently relocated to her DFW roots. In the short time since her return she has been hired to perform at huge corporate and charity events such as The Crystal Ball Charity and the 18K .She has been equally successful in her jazz pursuits performing at the Denton Jazz and Arts Festival, Dallas Jazz Under the Stars, The Main Street Festival in Ft. Worth, The Dallas Museum's “Jazz at the Atrium” series and the Sammons Art Center. Gale also performs regularly at many local DFW restaurants, vineyards and jazz clubs. Gale is thrilled to be home doing what she does best, singing great music!
