Event Description

Be a star in your own kitchen this holiday season. Join Fort Worth, Texas magazine and food editor, Judie Byrd, for a Thanksgiving/Holiday cooking class.

We received a large number of entries for our Turkey Boot Camp Contest and could choose only one winner. To give everyone a chance to experience, step-by-step, Judie's best recipes, tips, and techniques for cooking up a glorious holiday feast, we are holding a special cooking class so everyone can get in on the fun and learning.

Judie will show you how to roast the juiciest, most succulent, no-fail turkey ever - along with perfect cornbread dressing (better than Grandma's), mashed potatoes, brown and beautiful yams, Herbed Gravy (guaranteed goof-proof), fresh cranberry sauce, a beautiful pumpkin pie with homemade crust, and the piece de resistance, Easy Yeast Biscuits your family and friends will beg for.

Judie guarantees you can pull this off without last-minute stress and fatigue. Learn plan-ahead and make-ahead secrets that professional chefs use. Yes! You can do this easily in your own kitchen. Wake up happy on Thanksgiving morning, knowing all the work is done and all you have left to do is pop the turkey in the oven and follow our easy last-minute plan.

The class will be held at The Culinary School of Fort Worth and will include enticing hors d'oeuvres, printed recipes and time-line plans, and a fabulous meal including all the food we cook.

Dates: Choose either
Tuesday, November 9, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm, or
Wednesday, November 10, 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Cost: $60.00 ($50.00 for Fort Worth, Texas magazine subscribers)

To sign up, call The Culinary School of Fort Worth at 817.737.8427, or mail your check to the school at 6100 Camp Bowie Blvd., 76116.
