"You ever heard of the Mo' Better? Mo' Better makes it Mo' Better."
- Denzel Washington (Mo' Better Blues)
MO' BETTER
...Jazz, Soul, & a bit of Nostalgia
House of Blues
2200 N. Lamar St.
Dallas, TX
9:30pm - 2am
In 1990, Spike Lee gave us Mo' Better Blues...
a film that blended jazz, style, art, & sex appeal,
and for some of us, an introduction to the art that is jazz.
For one night, we want to bring you that vibe with a taste
of jazz, a taste of soul, and a little bit of nostalgia.
9:30pm-10:30pm::The JazzaMo' Hour:: w/DJ VIZ
mixing a soulful & jazz soundtrack creating the perfect vibe
so you can decompress from the long work week, sip your favorite
drink, connect with like minds, & chill out with your friends.
10:30-11:30pm::Better Soul:::featuring grammy-nominated
singer, songwriter, & musician GENO YOUNG
performing a live set with some of the best soulful sounds
that you have come to love from childhood to now.
As the hour progresses, you may find yourself bobbing
your head, tapping your feet, clapping your hands,
and "doing your thang" on the dance floor.
11:30pm - 2am::NOSTALGIA::"So tonight, you gotta leave
that 9 to 5 up on the shelf, & just enjoy yourself" is
the mantra as Big Daddie The DJ mixes all your favorite
songs from "way back when" all the way to now. And
when someone asks you the next day why you were
dancing so much, you will say "I just couldn't help myself!"
