The Amsterdam - Rating (5) JazzMaster Set
Every Monday for some many years now, there's a true JazzMaster Set going on for absolutely "FREE" at the underground bar known as The Amsterdam. Located on 831 Exposition Ave, Dallas, TX 75226. It sits right across from the North Entrance of Dallas Fair Park in the artsy corner known as Expo Park.
This jazz set is principally led by area jazz veteran/saxophonist Shelley Carroll who's a 25+ year member of the world-famous Duke Ellington Orchestra.
There' no tux and tales on Monday nights here though. This is a neighborhood dig with a bar serving up a wide range of craft and premium beers. The Amsterdam takes pride in being unpretentious. It's not about the decor or luxury here. It's about the jazz, the people and the atmosphere. Which, for a Monday night is always a great end of the day activity. In the spring, the outdoor becomes the added hang spot. If you love jazz. Real jazz performed by real jazz musicians from our area. This is the Jazz Master Set!
