- About Me:
- I am a graduate of Southern Methodist University where I focused primarily on sculpture and pre-columbian art history. I am represented by RO2art Gallery and volunteer at the South Dallas Cultural Center setting up exhibitions: SDCC has offered me the opportunity to teach printmaking classes to children, summer 2011, and this opportunity is one I look forward to prodigiously. Growing up in an interracial household,I receive enormous satisfaction from giving my time to SDCC. They serve the African American community primarily.
My artistic influences stem from indigenously produced art and, more specifically, the art of the various Maya cultures: I explore sacred sites in Central America as often as I can and gain my material from these wonderful places rich in information culturally and historically. Oceanic and African art inspires me as well.

- I learned about Uptown Jazz Dallas IJF from a post on Oscar Fierro's page through facebook. I attend his Dallas' shows and we share many close friends here in Dallas. In the last year I have experienced a lot of wonderful publicity and June Mattingly has written about me in her upcoming book about Texas artists, she has cited me as the next star of sculpture and design. I remain immensely grateful for all the support I have received from the art community. Thank you Dallas!
