About Me:
Lynn Briggs
Veteran broadcaster and On-Air Personality

The smooth, warm voice of Lynn Briggs is familiar to radio listeners and major musicians around the world.. For more than twenty years, she has been on the air and behind the scenes in some of the nation’s largest markets, including Dallas, New York, Los Angeles and Detroit. As a host of ABC Radio’s syndicated Classic R & B format, she also reached over 30 midsize markets.

She has interviewed some of the hottest stars in music – Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder and Luther Vandross to name a few. Her engaging style and knack for boosting ratings have earned her numerous industry honors, including the coveted title, “Billboard Magazine Air Personality of the Year” and nominated “Radio & Records Music Director of the Year” 2007 and 2008.

At KOAI in Dallas she was the only woman in the market spearheading a morning team before opting for the midday position in 2001. She worked for one of the hottest stations in the country New York’s Hot 97 (WQHT) and was program director and music director for Stevie Wonder’s KJLH in Los Angeles. At KJLH, she helped propel ratings by making the station a hot interviewing spot for some of music’s biggest celebrities. Lynn’s broadcasting career extends into television as well. She anchored the weekend news for TXCN (Texas Cable News), a Belo-owned network airing in Dallas, Austin, Houston and San Antonio.

Lynn is a dedicated community leader whose efforts have significantly impacted some of her favorite non-profit organizations, including the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Boys and Girls Clubs, and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Las Vegas Chapter. Lynn is also the founder of “Sonya’s Kids Incorporated” a non profit organization, advancing awareness and educating kids/families living with diabetes.
