Jazz Poem/lyric: The continuum of being

Hello everyone and welcome to my first Blog of 2019. This year I will feature poems and lyrics from my latest collections of lyrics/poems completed in December 2018. The titles are: Rattlemon:Djentleman of doom and Fame. Here’s a couple of pieces:  The continuum of being  The continuum of being isBirds singing in the softly growing light.Recognising the links between the seemingly unrelatedWhile going through your day.Accepting all the flow within and around,The seasons, years, persons,Interacting then leaving your stage. The continuum of being isBirds again singing but in the gently fading light.Accepting all the nonsensical disconnectsYet retaining your calm solaceIn what you know and is truth beyond opinions,Nestling and resting on a heart of love. The continuum of being isEqual parts of what is and what is not. Also what is now and yet to be forgotA prayer of bliss unceasing.   This poem © Louis J. Cats, Cats, Cats! / Rattlemon seeks literary Agent

All contents- poem and Blog text - © Louis J. Casson 2018 all rights reserved. Hello everyone, and welcome back. I hope you all had a wonderful summer!   I’m looking forward past autumn and winter to next spring, when it will be 18 years since my first collection of lyrics and poems - “Wild Asters” was released. Also next spring (2019) my new collection“Rattlemon: Djentleman of doom” will be completed. With the above in mind I thought I would share in this Blog a poem from my first collection and one from the latest upcoming one. Enjoy!  “With us already”A poem portrait of a man and his cat, reflecting that cats have a mysterious (alien?) nature. “Blue cat blues”A playful poem about a blues cat!  Enjoy a cool and sunny autumn. Take care. Best wishes, Louis P.S. Although I have 20 collections available, I am still seeking a literary agent to represent me. Any literary agents out there who are interested in approaching publishers on my behalf, should contact me by email on…See More

All contents- poem and Blog text - © Louis J. Casson 2018 All rights reserved. Hello everyone! A couple of new poems / lyrics.  “God the healer” lyrics in a blues/gospel mode. Inspired by a recent meet with a friend of mine who is a physiotherapist among his other skills. “No sale” refers to the realisation that there’s no point going on feeding / paying for services that produce no fruit to you. Sadly it’s time to “no sale” these and save your efforts / cash to invest elsewhere.Even though I wrote the line - I would disagree slightly with the view that the past is a predictor of the future, since we can all surprise ourselves in the abilities and talents that lie dormant and undiscovered within us. Enjoy the poems/lyrics, till next time, take care. Best wishes, Louis  God the healer For God’s the healerHe’s your healer manCures all your aches and troublesWhatever’s wrong, he’s your man. He doesn’t just watch it,He can cure your back.Massages, soothes real good,His skills know no…See More
