Profile Information

About Me:
I was born in Guinea, in a family of Griots (Djeli). I learnt to play the Balafon (wooden Xylophone) and later the Kora, the Manding harp-lute.
As a singer and a musician, I developed a very intimate bond with my unique 32-stringed kora and even if I never wander too far from traditional rhythms, this has never prevented me from using my Kora for unexpected styles : salsa, flamenco, Blues and jazz.
