About Me:
Dallas based singer, Damon K. Clark, was fortunate enough to be raised by two musically eclectic parents. Damon’s father loved classical, world music, and musical theatre while his mother adored soul, r&b, and jazz. When Damon was about four years old, his parents realized he had a gift for music. Over the next several years Damon studied and developed into a light lyric tenor specializing in Rossini and Mozart.

Interestingly enough, Damon’s uncle, a career studio musician, was afraid Damon would never develop “black voice”. Damon's mother, on the advisement of her brother, sought an additional voice coach to help Damon develop so called “black voice”. After much initial resistance, Damon began to study with the additional vocal coach and before long, fell in love with the rhythms and textures of jazz. Although Damon still loves and often performs classical music, his heart truly lies with America’s music – Jazz!

Damon is a frequent performer at the historic Kessler Theatre in North Oak Cliff. He has been privileged to work with such notable Dallas based artists as Bernard Wright, S’Ankh Rasa, Rick Rigsby, Linny Nance, Caleb McCampbell, and Neeki Bey to name just a few.
