Communicating Jazz:

With Week 4, our Live on the Lawn at Klyde Warren Park Series Finale allowed the introduction of our Emerging Stars Edition. This Edition is one of the main reasons our Festival organization is focused on the recording artists in our community. Using our platform to elevate their profile and standing in the community so they can begin to get solid following and footing for their careers.

It was with great pleasure that we got to unleash the artistry of jazz vocalist Tatiana "Lady May" Mayfield and the fusion/funk/jazz experience of The Funky Knuckles. The decision to have the Emerging Stars Edition as the Season Finale was deliberate and we have never been so proud of these two acts.

Their performances were stellar! Dallas should be proud (as we are) to have such strong end emerging talent in our area. This will not be the last time you see Tatiana Mayfield and The Funky Knuckles on our stages!

Congratulations to our Programming Partner, Klyde Warren Park. From the feedback that we've gotten, all believe that Uptown Jazz Dallas Live should keep this going. That's the plan. See you soon. Again. At Klyde Warren Park as part of their regular Music Series Programming!
