Mark Mullino is a Dallas native and artist who combines compelling forms of art and music. A trained musician and pianist, Mullino incorporates the music of his life with visions of his thoughts to create his unique artistic style. With an extensive background in classical piano, vocal, choral, hymns, musical theatre, jazz, pop, and rock, the spectrum of music found in Mullino’s paintings is vast. He uses color, light, and the thematic forms to express the emotion of his music through his paintings. The primary medium used in his art is acrylic – all forms – including house paint, children’s paint, and craft paint.
Trained at an early age in art and painting, Mullino stopped painting at the age of 16 to pursue his music career. He did not paint again for over 20 years but the call of the canvas came back strong and inspiration of music and art combined seamlessly with his vision and life. In addition to galleries, many of Mullino’s exhibitions and paintings have been displayed and hang in theaters and music locations. Mullino has spent time living and training in Dallas, Houston, Orlando, New York City, and Salt Lake City.
Acclaimed for his unique style and exciting use of textured colors, Mark Mullino’s life and enthusiasm for the arts is seen in every original painting. Commissioned works are accepted with personal selections of songs and theme.
