Event Description

Efecto Mandarina, a mega-talented jazz fusion band out of Bolivia, will be sharing good vibes in a most intimate performance this Wednesday at the always warm and comfy Kitchen Cafe located in Far North Dallas at 17370 Preston Road (Suite 415). Downbeat is 7:30 p.m.
This is a sponsored event so jazz lovers have a once-in-a-blue-moon opportunity to pay only $10 to catch a truly singular band that is not only making a rare American appearance, but performing for the first time in Texas.
Efecto Mandarina pulls no punches. They are full-tilt fusion with roots in jazz, but compositions that also incorporate blues, bossa nova, Bolivian folklore, pop, R&B and soul.

The quartet is fronted by the visually mesmerizing and vocally agile Vero Perez. Her influences early on included Amy Winehouse, Earth, Wind & Fire and Stevie Wonder. But Vero's voice is like no other and delivered with a commanding presence that has facilitated a wide range of solo projects, including those with  guitar virtuoso Jorge Villanueva and world-renowned bassist Andres Rotmistrovsky.

Vero's equally accomplished bandmates are Bladimir Morales on bass, Diego Ballón on piano and Eddy Chuquimia on drums. Collectively, they form a musical energy that translates into a can't-miss live performance. And to gear up for the entree you will savor, here are a few appetizers:
Please reserve your table today by calling (254) 216-0460.
