Performed by over 500 area students, ARETHA: THE MUSICAL is an exciting, moving, educational and inspiring musical revue that honors the "Queen of Soul,"Aretha Franklin. The musical selections performed in this revue will take the audience on a phenomenal musical voyage that celebrates Franklin's musical journey from the choir of New Bethel Baptist Church where she began singing as a child to the top of the Billboard Music Charts to the steps of our nation's Capitol where she sang during the inauguration of President Barak Obama. ARETHA: THE MUSICAL is a fascinating glimpse into the life of one of the most prolific musical artists of all time!
